Hello everyone I've not been around for some months and not been flying at all, very frustrating. How many of our new members are flying flybared helis?

Hi Burgess, don't think there are any new members, every thing I've got is FBL except for 2 Blade MSRs and a Co-Axial Bell 47 that's been converted to Spektrum.

If tried most of the FBL control systems and settled on Brain/iKon mainly because all the FBL units have different programming and I only wanted to learn one, it was a toss up between iKon & V-Bar both great systems but you get a lot included with iKon that you have to pay extra for with V-Bar such as Auto Level and Rescue neither of which I use but they are there if I need them.

Good to hear from you Keith.
I only have two Align FBL systems and one five blade rotor. The rest of the 400-450 fleet are still fly-bared. I had thought to fit a 3-axis fixed-wing system on one to see how it works out for scale like flight.

I was going on the members list quite a few have joined this year.
The reason for the question, there would seem to be a lot of older fly-bared helicopters, changing hands, including larger nitro birds.
Converting the power to electric first and keeping the old fly-bared main rotor head, might be a choice some would take on a cost effective bases.

A buddy recently acquired a Raptor 50 nitro in not great shape, the design is a cross between that of a first generation Walkra 60 rotor head system and an Align 450 XL frame and servo configuration.

It does dampen the enthusiasm though having to keep rebuilding it !!

I must find a decent er9x setup to replace the radiolink Radio setup I have.
